HIPAA PRIVACY ACT
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) required the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (U.S. DHHS) to develop a series of rules governing health information. In general, the rules are intended to standardize the communication of electronic health information between health care providers and health insurers. In addition, the rules are intended to protect the privacy and security of individually identifiable health information. Rebound is in full compliance with these rules and regulations.
